About Coliberator

Coliberator is an international conference about free technology, and free culture.

It is organized by Fundația Ceata. Its first edition was in 2013. The place where the conference takes place is Bucharest, Romania. Until 2016 it was organized in the beginning of June. Starting 2017, it will happen in the autumn, at the beginning of October.

The main tracks are:

• free/libre software
• free data formats and standards
• hardware that is compatible with free software, and hardware with free design
• software and hardware hacking
• free culture
• privacy in the internet
• public policies regarding information technology
• free software activism and organizations
• ethical businesses in technology

When we say "free" or "libre", we mean that the users of those programs, formats, or devices have the freedom to use, modify, and redistribute them, for any purpose (including commercial).
